Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 25, 2026

At WiseDesk, we are fundamentally committed to protecting the privacy of our readers. We believe that reading is a private, intellectual pursuit, and that readers should not be tracked, profiled, or targeted. Our platform is designed from the ground up to respect this boundary.

1. The Zero-Tracking Policy

We do not employ programmatic marketing trackers, behavioral pixels (such as the Meta Pixel), or commercial analytics tools (such as Google Analytics). Unlike most media entities, we do not monitor your behavior across other web destinations, and we do not profile your reading interest vectors to sell targeted advertising.

If you visit our site, we record standard, minimalist server request headers (such as User-Agent and IP Address) to serve page assets and prevent denial-of-service attempts. These logs are stored in memory and permanently deleted within 48 hours.

2. Newsletter & Comments Signups

If you subscribe to our newsletter ("The Dispatch") or join our discussion alerts, we collect only your email address.

  • This data is used solely to dispatch editorial updates.
  • We will never sell, lease, or share your email address with external marketing platforms.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of our emails.

3. Data Retention

We retain email addresses for active subscribers only. If you request deletion, we purge your data from our database in full within 24 hours. We do not store secondary records of deleted subscribers.

4. Policy Updates

We will never compromise our stance on user privacy. If we adjust technical configurations (such as our server hosting setup), we will update this document immediately and note it in our public RSS log.
