Guidelines for pitches, essays, and investigative critiques.
We welcome contributions from systems developers, design critics, computational physicists, and tech historians who want to write long-form analyses that transcend typical press release formats.
1. What We Publish
We publish long-form essays, investigations, and technical reviews. Word counts range between 1,800 to 3,500 words. We prioritize:
- Computing Critiques: Investigations into decentralized frameworks, database latency bottlenecks, consensus protocols, and neuromorphic computer developments.
- Design Philosophy: Critical examinations of interface systems, typography histories, sub-pixel rendering geometries, and the ethics of digital design.
- Scientific Inquiries: Accessible analyses of new scientific research, biophysics, superconductor parameters, or closed-loop ecosystems.
2. What We Reject
We do not publish promotional posts, press releases disguised as reviews, articles containing affiliate tracking, quick summaries of news events, or content generated by AI platforms. Every piece must bring new research, critical opinion, or quantitative testing datasets to the table.
3. Pitch Submission Guidelines
Do not send a finished article drafts. Send a pitch outlining:
- Your core thesis statement and target audience.
- The specific quantitative tests or primary sources you will reference.
- Your relevant technical or design background.
- Links to previous long-form analyses you have written.
